Learn what "expired status" means in a payment

In cases where an order is generated in the system, but the buyer does not confirm the payment within the maximum period determined by the merchant, the order in question becomes expired.

We call timeout the maximum time the customer has to confirm his purchase, in other words, to make the payment of his order. For proprietary integration clients (APIs), the timeout is defined by the merchant at the moment the order is created in our system. For customers using the Vtex platform, the timeout follows the standard of 15 minutes.
